Cuba: Varadero - la playa azul
Situated on the northern cost of Cuba, Varadero is an urban in the Cardenas municipality. It’s the most popular seaside resort on the island, and one of the biggest in the Caribbean islands.
A LITTLE PARADISE FOR TOURISTS
Although thousands of tourists gather here every year to enjoy the turquoise waters of this Caribbean paradise, Varadero has so much more to offer besides its 13 miles of white sandy beaches. The area, although a little less authentic than other spots such as Havana or Santiago de Cuba, offer you a great insight into Cuban culture with its many museums, art galleries, cabarets, cafés and little markets. There is a large variety of accommodation options available to suit every budget.

FOR NATURE...
For the outdoorsy tourist there are plenty of walking trails and caves to explore, as well as the fauna and flora of the Varahicacos Nature Reserve.
...AND SPORTS LOVERS
For fans of a more active vacation, there are many possibilities: Varadero is the home of one of the only two golf clubs in the country. If golf’s not your thing, you can try out water sports or a boat or catamaran trip. Varadero is also a paradise for the more nocturnal tourist with its lively nightlife and great variety of clubs, cabarets and live music bars.
