In case of a positive diagnosis at Covid-19 during your stay, you will only have to follow the following 4 simple steps:

Consult the e-mail of Air Caraïbes which will be sent to you a few days after the date of purchase of your plane ticket with the following information :

  • the phone number of the assistance desk.
  • Your contract number.
  • The detailed procedure.

You will also be reminded by e-mail 2 days before your departure of the support center phone number and the contract number.

  • First and last names.
  • Air Caraïbes reservation number generally indicated at the top left of your electronic ticket (6 digits).
  • Contract number communicated in the e-mail.
  • Precise address where you are.

I have symptoms of Covid 19. What can I do about it?

In case of doubt, I call the assistance platform and I indicate the contract number stipulated in the general conditions. The support desk will ask me the right medical questions and refer me to a local doctor or hospital.

At destination, I've just been put on a fourteen-week trip because I'm on Covid-19 and my return flight is tomorrow! What will I do for accommodation?

It is your Assistance Protection Sanitaire which will take care of your nights up to 80€/night (maximum 14 nights). It is also the assistance platform which will tell you in which hotel you will be put in a fortnight.

And at the end of my quarantine, what will I do for my return flight that I couldn't take?

Once again, the assistance center will take care of organizing your repatriation. However, the majority of insurance contracts exclude epidemics?
This is true but not the assistance contract Protection Sanitaire d'Air Caraïbes which also covers reasons related to Covid-19.

The day before my return flight, I learn that the borders at my destination are closed, so I cannot go back. Who is going to take care of my hotel expenses while waiting to be able to return?

I call the assistance desk and I explain the situation. The hotel costs incurred by my impossible return will be covered by the assistance platform up to 80€/night (with a maximum of 14 nights).

In some countries the medical expenses are very high. If I contract the Covid-19 on my place of stay, in Dominican Republic for example, who will take care of these medical expenses?

The assistance contract Protection Sanitaire will take care of the medical expenses up to 150 000€.
